Tech giant IBM to buy Red Hat for $34 Billion

Tech giant IBM Corp. is going to acquire software firm Red Hat, Inc. which have concentrated its developments in Networking and Cloud Computing for $34 Billion including debts and it will be IBM Corp.'s biggest acquisition. Red Hat Linux and Fedora are popular products of Red Hat, Inc.

Enterprise open-source products are main business of US multinational company Red Hat, Inc. The IBM plans to provide hardware and software supports to its clients. The IBM is concentrating its business in cloud computing for last decades. The acquisition of Red Hat will be accelerate their cloud computing business because Red Hat also concentrated their business in networking and cloud computing software. So, Red Hat definitely can help their cloud computing businesses.
The CEO of IBM, Ginni Rometty declared that "together we will be number 1 hybrid cloud provider" in an interview allowed to USA TODAY. The IBM is targeting its rivals Amazone, Microsoft and Google by this acquisition. Also they have decided to maintain the Red Hat's management team and brand. Also the IBM decided to maintain its open-source and cloud products in markets. So, there is no need to fear about the future of Red Hat Linux, Fedora, etc.
